What is a follow-up visit and how to add it?

  • A follow-up visit is a consultation that takes place after an initial appointment.

  • Follow-ups help ensure that your clients or patients continue to receive the best possible care.

To add a follow-up visit to your profile:

  1. Go to My Profile.

  2. Select Add Consultation Type.

  3. Choose Follow-Up Visit.

  4. Enter your fee for this visit.

  • Once saved, your follow-up visit will appear among your available consultation options — making it easier for returning clients to book with you again.

Follow-Up Settings in the Schedule

The doctor can configure the following parameters in their schedule:

  • Follow-up consultation duration — how long the visit lasts.

  • Follow-up consultation validity period — until when the patient can book a follow-up visit.

  • Booking calendar days limit — how many days in advance patients can make a booking.

After the First Consultation

After finishing a consultation, the doctor can (optionally) recommend a date for the next visit.

⚠️ The recommended date cannot be later than the Follow-up consultation validity period.

This step is especially useful when:

  • The patient needs to return for test results or a progress check

  • The doctor wants to ensure continuity of care

Summary

By setting up follow-up options, you make it easier for patients to:

  • Book timely repeat visits

  • Stay consistent with treatment

  • Maintain better communication with you
