How to upload documents before your consultation

Learn how to upload medical documents during booking to help your doctor prepare for the consultation.

Updated over a month ago

You can upload medical documents in advance to help your doctor prepare. This is especially helpful if you have symptoms that require visual assessment or if you’re attending a follow-up consultation.

Can I use test results from another country?

Yes. You can use test results and medical documents from another country if they help the doctor better understand your request during the consultation.

Oladoctor supports international patients, and it’s common to upload documents completed outside your current country of residence.

What types of documents can I upload?

You can upload:

  • Lab results (e.g. blood tests, urine tests, hormone levels)

  • Imaging reports (e.g. ultrasound, MRI, X-ray)

  • Medical summaries or discharge notes

  • Prescriptions or past treatment records

  • Photos (e.g. skin conditions, throat, eyes)

When and how to upload documents

You can upload files during the booking process.

  • For Express Consultations: the upload option appears in Step 1

  • For Specialist Consultations: the upload option appears in Step 5

In the section titled Reason for your consultation, you’ll see an upload area where you can:

  • Select one or more documents from your device

  • Drag and drop them into the upload field

Does the language of the documents matter?

No. The doctor will assess whether the information is sufficient, even if the documents are in a different language.

If anything is unclear, the doctor may ask follow-up questions during the consultation.

Will the doctor see my documents in advance?

Yes. All uploaded documents are made available to the doctor before your consultation.

This allows the doctor to:

  • Review your situation ahead of time

  • Prepare any follow-up questions

  • Make the consultation more efficient and helpful for you
