Legal and Oladoctor requirements
Doctors are required to:
Follow the laws and medical regulations of their own country of registration
Respect clinical boundaries: avoid giving conclusive diagnoses or treatment recommendations if the consultation format doesn’t allow for it (e.g., no video or incomplete case information)
Use the Oladoctor platform exclusively to manage consultations, issue documents, and communicate with patients
Avoid offering care that exceeds the legal scope of practice in your country or the patient’s country (especially for prescriptions and certificates)
What is not allowed during consultations
To protect both patients and doctors, the following actions are strictly prohibited:
Sharing personal contact information (email, phone number, private messaging apps)
Redirecting patients outside the platform for continued care, follow-ups, or payment
Guaranteeing access to prescriptions or medical certificates before or during the consultation
Stating or implying diagnosis when the available data (e.g., lack of video or clinical information) is insufficient
Violations may result in account deactivation and removal from the Oladoctor marketplace.
Missed consultations and unjustified cancellations
Frequent no-shows, missed consultations, or unconfirmed attendance may reduce your visibility in search results or trigger a review of your account
Unjustified last-minute cancellations, especially without notifying the patient, are discouraged and may affect your ability to use the platform
If you cannot attend a confirmed consultation, please contact our support team as early as possible to cancel it properly
You can also reschedule the consultation via your dashboard, if needed
In urgent or technical situations, contact support immediately.
