How notifications work

Oladoctor sends automatic notifications to help you stay informed and prepared for each consultation.

How will I receive notifications about my consultations?

You’ll receive up to 4 automatic reminders for each confirmed consultation:

  • Immediately after the booking

  • 24 hours before the consultation (if booked in advance)

  • 2 hours before – includes a confirmation request

  • 15 minutes before the session starts

All reminders are sent by email by default.

What is the 2-hour confirmation and why is it important?

The reminder sent 2 hours before the consultation includes a "Confirm consultation" button.

Clicking it is optional, but highly recommended – it helps the Oladoctor team coordinate support and ensures you’re available, without sending any notification to the patient.

Where can I manage my notification preferences?

To manage notifications:

  1. Go to your profile (top-right corner)

  2. Click Notifications

  3. Choose which types of reminders you want to receive (Email or Telegram)

Email notifications are enabled by default. You can also activate Telegram notifications if preferred.

⚠️ At least one channel (email or Telegram) must remain active at all times to receive important system updates and booking reminders.

What if I’m not receiving emails?

If you don’t see reminders:

  • Check your spam or promotions folder

  • Mark Oladoctor emails as “Not spam”

  • Add [email protected] to your contacts

  • In Gmail, reminders may appear as a single thread – check the number next to the subject line
