How to select or change your time zone

Learn when and how to set or change your time zone to make sure your consultations, reminders, and appointment times are correct.

Updated over 2 months ago

Why setting the correct time zone matters

Your time zone ensures that:

  • Available consultation times are shown in your local time

  • Appointment reminders arrive at the right moment

  • You don’t miss your consultation or join at the wrong time

Using the wrong time zone may cause issues such as:

  • Joining your consultation too early or too late

  • Missing confirmation or reminder emails

  • Not receiving a link at the expected time

Always check your time zone, especially if you’re:

  • Traveling across time zones

  • Living abroad

  • Using a VPN or remote IP address (this may affect time zone detection)

Where to see and edit your time zone

When you log in

You can always view your current time zone on the Dashboard of your Oladoctor account — it appears next to your Patient Code.

If the time zone looks incorrect:

  1. Click the gear icon next to it

  2. You’ll be redirected to the My Profile page

  3. Choose the correct time zone from the dropdown list and save changes

Your time zone is detected automatically when you log in. However, VPNs and IP masking may interfere with this detection — make sure they’re turned off if the wrong time zone appears.
