What is Oladoctor and how does it work?
Oladoctor is a healthcare marketplace that connects patients with certified doctors for online consultations in a language they understand.
The service is especially useful for people living or traveling in Europe who face challenges such as language barriers, unfamiliar healthcare systems, or long wait times. With Oladoctor, you can receive professional medical advice without paperwork, delays, or needing to visit a clinic.
Who are the doctors on Oladoctor?
All doctors on Oladoctor are certified professionals who work independently through the marketplace. They define their own availability, pricing, and consultation structure.
Each profile includes:
Doctor’s name and specialty
Languages spoken during consultations
Price and duration of the consultation
Professional background and education
Patient reviews (coming soon)
You can filter doctors by specialty, language, and price to find the right match.
What types of services are available?
Oladoctor offers three types of services, depending on your needs:
Express Consultation – a short 15-minute consultation with a general practitioner, usually available the same day
Specialist Consultation – a longer consultation with a doctor in a specific field (e.g., psychiatry, dermatology, pediatrics)
Request-based Services – such as a prescription, medical certificate, or referral, based on a completed questionnaire. This is also considered a form of medical consultation, but without a live video call.
All services on Oladoctor are delivered as online consultations — either via secure video or as a request reviewed remotely by the doctor. No additional software is needed — everything works directly in your browser.
What makes Oladoctor different?
No automated assignments – you choose your doctor yourself (except for Express Consultations, which connect you with the next available general practitioner)
Multilingual care – consultations are available in multiple languages
Travel-friendly – the platform is built for digital nomads, expats, and travelers across Europe
No clinics involved – Oladoctor is not a medical provider or clinic. Doctors provide consultations independently and make all clinical decisions on their own.
What Oladoctor is not
Oladoctor does not employ doctors or influence clinical decisions. All medical advice, treatment plans, and documentation are the sole responsibility of the doctor you consult with.
Oladoctor does not guarantee prescriptions, referrals, or certificates. These are issued only if the doctor finds them medically appropriate and if local regulations allow.
Oladoctor is not an emergency service. If you are experiencing a medical emergency — such as chest pain, difficulty breathing, loss of consciousness, or severe bleeding — do not book a consultation. Call your local emergency number or go to the nearest hospital immediately.
