The medical certificate of physical and psychological fitness (Atestado médico de robustez física e psíquica) in Portugal confirms that the applicant is in adequate physical and mental condition to perform specific duties, study, or serve. It is often required by universities, police forces, fire departments, and other public or security institutions.

The assessment is based on a medical questionnaire completed by the applicant. The doctor reviews the answers to confirm that there are no evident conditions affecting safety or the ability to work or study. The certificate states the result — “fit” or “fit with restrictions.”

To request the certificate online in Portugal, complete the medical questionnaire on the Oladoctor website. The doctor will review your answers, assess your condition, and decide on your fitness.

If your health meets the requirements, the certificate will be issued electronically and can be submitted to an employer, university, or public service. If the doctor cannot confirm your fitness, the payment will be refunded.
